About the Project

The primary intention of the design of this late 19th Century semi-detached house was to address the constrained space for the client and their family. The extension and renovation of both the living area and garden at the rear, along with the transformation of the loft space into a master bedroom achieved this. Both extended internal volumes have been designed to create a relationship and continuation with the garden that has softened the previous tension between the internal and external spaces. Within the house, a subtle and reductive use of material and colour welcomes the lives of a family, encouraging their expression within it.
